Guraza

I guess everyone feels kind of attached to the place he/she was born and spent a significant part of life in. I for one, am definitely.

I was born in this place called Guraza which is a small village in Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, next to Mudinepalli. It is situated 2 km away from Mudinepalli with lot of agricultural land in between. The rapid industrialization and urbanization has taken its toll too on this small piece of land and it is rapidly merging into Mudinepalli.

First thing when someone asks where my native place is and listen to the name, they confuse it with "Gurazala" another village in Guntur district and when I say it is next to Mudinepalli in Krishna District, they say "oh Yeah!! of course" and start singing Mudinepalli Madichelo Muddugumma from the movie Gentleman.. phew.. well to clear it once and for all it is G-U-R-A-Z-A, got nothing to do with the song or with Guntur district or even Gurazada Appa Rao. It is a small village where I was born, it is just like those millions of villages in India with little or no history whatsoever to boast of.

"Nagendra Swamy Temple"

I love the sand, the smell, the bamboo houses, the temples, everything that is there in it.

The school I went to as a kid between holidays and school days.

I would have loved to capture every single frame of this village to be etched in my memories forever not because it has awesome scenic view or has an incredible historic value, but for me it is the place where I took my first breath, first steps, and every first thing in my life.
